Petisi Untuk Warga Adat Muara Tae

Hi fellas,
Pernah dengan Muara Tae?

Muara Tae adalah sebuah daerah di Kaltim. Warga adat sana sudah memperjuangkan tanahnya selama puluhan tahun. Kenapa?

Masalahnya, akses informasi kepemilikan lahan nggak dibuka!

Sealed Sad Stories

I'm a sealed book,
I contain sad stories,
Written in old and fragile papers,
But nobody ever knows,
Nor read any of those,
Because,
I'm covered with colourful paintings,
Just on the front of my cover,
And i put a happy and funny synopsis,
Just on the back of my cover,
Readers will consider me as something amusing to read,
Just at a glance,
But they can't ever read me,
Nor know any real thing inside me,
Because i told you,
I'm a locked book,
Tho i have an amusing look,
No one ever have the right key to read me.
No, don't judge me first,
Dearest readers,
I never lie about anything,
Nor about how i look,
And how i feel,
Because i never show you,
How i really am,
And how i really feel.
But i never regret my self
Of being completely unknown,
I guess, that's what mature people do,
They won't share their problems to anyone,
Nor tell their sad stories to anyone,
Because they know for sure,
No one can really fix them,
All the mature people do
Is keeping their own problems for their self,
And carry their own burden,
No matter how heavy the burden is,
They won't let anyone carry some,
They will only let others know they're fine,
And continue showing only the happy part of their stories.
I know for sure,
All i need is someone who have the right key,
To open me,
And perhaps that someone have the ability,
Of writing happy stories,
With some great contents,
For the rest of the empty papers,
Deep inside me.

I Moved On, Your Turn!

Go on,
Leave me alone,
You have to be gone,
You've got everything you want,
You know your game is won
By your own.
Go on,
I would rather be alone,
Than to be cheated on,
And treated worse than just an option.
Go on,
I need to be alone,
You have to live on your own,
And take care of your own,
Right from now on.
Stop calling me on the phone,
Because i want to be alone.
Go on,
Move on your own
You have to move on
Find another woman
Seek for another hand
To hold on
I repeat it once more,
Go on,
Just take it all as a lesson,
And don't ever come back anymore,
It's not gonna work anymore,
Because it's over.

Tuhan dalam Dirimu dan Sesuatu dalam Hatiku

Aku mencintaimu,
Tapi jika ditanya alasanku,
Aku tidak tahu menahu,
Yang aku tahu,
Aku bisa melihat Tuhan di matamu,
Yang selalu bisa meneduhkanku,
Aku dapat mendengar Tuhan dalam suaramu,
Yang selalu terdengar merdu,
Dan kuyakini lebih merdu,
Saat kamu berbicara dengan Tuhan,
Dalam setiap doa doa yang kamu panjatkan,
Aku merasakan Tuhan sangat dekat dengan jiwamu,
Lebih dekat dari pembuluh nadimu,
Lebih indah dari irama di jantungmu,
Aku menemukan Tuhan dalam setiap perilakumu,
Dalam semua sifat sifatmu,
Dalam tutur katamu,
Dan cara berfikirmu,
Yang mengagumkan menurutku,
Aku mungkin bisa saja meninggalkan manusia,
Tapi mana mungkin aku bisa meninggalkan Tuhan?

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day: Develop Your Thoughts on The Elder Abuse and Neglect

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. And i want you, whoever read this writings, to develop your minds, i want you to kindly develop your thoughts about the elder abuse. Because 1 in 6 elder adults have been abused in the past year.

What is elder abuse, anyway? What do you think? I think elder abuse should never be exist in our life. Why? Because without them, without the elderly, we would never be exist in this world. According to CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), elder abuse is an intentional act, or failure to act, by a caregiver or another person in a relationship involving an expectation of trust that causes or creates a risk of harm to an older adult. (An older adult is defined as someone age 60 or older).

Forms of elder abuse are:
·         Physical Abuse: the intentional use of physical force that results in acute or chronic illness, bodily injury, physical pain, functional impairment, distress, or death. Physical abuse may include, but is not limited to, violent acts such as striking (with or without an object or weapon), hitting, beating, scratching, biting, choking, suffocation, pushing, shoving, shaking, slapping, kicking, stomping, pinching, and burning.
·         Sexual Abuse or Abusive Sexual Contact: forced or unwanted sexual interaction (touching and non-touching acts) of any kind with an older adult. This may include but is not limited to forced or unwanted completed or attempted contact between the penis and the vulva or the penis and the anus involving penetration, however slight. It might also include forced or unwanted contact between the mouth and the penis, vulva, or anus; forced or unwanted penetration of the anal or genital opening of another person by a hand, finger, or other object; forced or unwanted intentional touching, either directly or through the clothing, of the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks. These acts also qualify as sexual abuse if they are committed against an incapacitated person who is not competent to give informed approval.
·         Emotional or Psychological Abuse: verbal or nonverbal behavior that results in the infliction of anguish, mental pain, fear, or distress. Examples of tactics that may exemplify emotional or psychological abuse of an older adult include behaviors intended to humiliate (e.g., calling names or insults), threaten (e.g., expressing an intent to initiate nursing home placement), isolate (e.g., seclusion from family or friends), or control (e.g., prohibiting or limiting access to transportation, telephone, money or other resources).
·         Neglect: failure by a caregiver or other responsible person to protect an elder from harm, or the failure to meet needs for essential medical care, nutrition, hydration, hygiene, clothing, basic activities of daily living or shelter, which results in a serious risk of compromised health and safety. Examples include not providing adequate nutrition, hygiene, clothing, shelter, or access to necessary health care; or failure to prevent exposure to unsafe activities and environments.
·         Financial Abuse or Exploitation: the illegal, unauthorized, or improper use of an older individual’s resources by a caregiver or other person in a trusting relationship, for the benefit of someone other than the older individual. This includes, but is not limited to, depriving an older person of rightful access to, information about, or use of, personal benefits, resources, belongings, or assets. Examples include forgery, misuse or theft of money or possessions; use of coercion or deception to surrender finances or property; or improper use of guardianship or power of attorney.

Why is it important to know more about a brief definition of elder abuse?
A consistent definition is needed to monitor the incidence of elder abuse and examine trends over time. Consistency helps to determine the magnitude of elder abuse and enables comparisons of the problem across locations. This ultimately informs prevention and intervention efforts.
Talking about prevention, we can start it right here right know by knowing the most common sign of elder abuse.
Here are some of the most common signs of elder abuse. These signs don't automatically show that abuse is occurring, but are clues that you should look further into your loved one's well-being:

  • Bruises, cuts, abrasions, burns and other physical signs of trauma
  • Sudden social withdrawal, confusion or depression
  • Witnessing a family member or caregiver verbally belittling or yelling at the senior
  • Senior's finances suddenly change for the worse
  • Bedsores, poor hygiene and weight loss

There are often other explanations for these indications, but any changes in your loved one's personality, behavior, or physical condition should be investigated thoroughly.
Most of the elder adults being abused while they're fulfilling their rights. Talking about the elderly rights, they have 20 rights in their life. As declared by United Nations Principles for Older Persons, In terms of independence, the elderly persons have the right:
1.      To access to adequate food, water, shelter, clothing, and health care through the provision of income, family and community support and help.

Now, will you stand by my side as i stand for the elderly rights and help this world to be better and more peaceful by stopping the elder abuse?

Someone in heaven

Hi dad, how’re you there?
I bet your second life is much more interestin’
Than your first life with me
Hello dad, how’s heaven?
I bet it’s much more beautiful
Than i ever imagine
Hey dad, how could you left me alone?
6 years ago, April 18th 2011
You left me in this miserable world
With suck people as one of the composition
Do you know, dad?
I always get sick on April 18th ever since
But don’t worry
It’s just fever with cold and flu, usually
Literally sick
Probably because people are too suck
Do you still remember, Dad?
You ever said to me once
That a father would never left
His daughter before she can stand
On her own foot
With her own strength
To face the world
But when you left
I barely can feel my knees
How can i stand independently
And how am i suppose to face this miserable life
Without you on my side?
When i was just a little girl
I ever asked you once like
“dad, is it just me who think that most of people in this world are suck?”
And i still remember your answer
“indeed, people are suck, love them anyway.
Someday we’ll leave this world and go somehere
With no suck people there.”
Now, i can guest where it is,
Is it heaven?
If what i guest is right
I want you to know

That i’m glad to know you already there

How I Define Love

Okay. It's time for me to define what love is all about.
Love is a chemical process in your brain. All emotions are chemical processes in your brain. And your brain is a physical organ. It means, everything it does, it does in a physical way.

Love is a chemical reaction in your brain. It's not elfin magic or pixie dust or others. So what? That doesn't make it any less wonderful. Yeah. Less mystical, no less wonderful. Spot on.
The trick is to distinguish it from all the other chemical processes that feel subjectively similar to love, like infatuation or MHC (Major Histocompatibility Complex) response. (O, MHC is a genetic system that allows large proteins in immune system cells to identify compatible or foreign proteins. It also allows the matching of potential organ or bone marrow donors with recipients). You can google it if you want to know more about MHC response (or other confusing words in this answer), cause it'll take about 6 sks (or more) for me to explain those words to you.

Now, back to the chemical processes that feel subjectively similar to love.
The technique that helps me understand my feelings and sort out the difference between love and all those various feel-Aline's is to ask myself, is this a desire for me to have the other person, or is this a desire for him to have what's best for himself?
If the thought of me not being with him and him being happy without me makes my inner self stamp my feet and say "Mine! Mine! I want him! He belongs to me! Mine!" then it's not love. Because love is not about ownership.
If the thought of him being happy, even without me, makes me think "Wow, that's awesome! I want him to be happy!" then that's how I know it's love.
Okay, I know right now I sounds like a theoretical bullshit. Hahah. But that's how I define love. Everyone has their right to define love by their own way, hasn't they?

Pemeriksaan Suhu Tubuh Manusia

Saved by Stilts (Tugas bahasa inggris kelas 12 SMA: menganalisa generic structure dari sebuah spoof text)

Saved by stilts

The king wanted to test Abu Nawas’ smartness. So he invited Abu Nawas to the palace. “You want me, your Majesty?” greeted Abu Nawas. “Yes, you have fooled me three times and that’s too much. I want you to leave the country. Otherwise you will have to go to jail” said the king. “If that is what you want, I will do what you said” said Abu Nawas sadly. Then “Remember, from tomorrow you may not step on the ground of this country anymore” the king said seriously. Then Abu nawas left the king palace sadly.

The following morning the king ordered his two guards to go to Abu Nawas’ house. The guards were very surprised found Abu Nawas still in his house. He had not left the country yet. Instead leaving the country, Abu Nawas was swimming in small pool in front of his house. “Hey Abu Nawas, why haven’t you left this country yet? The king ordered you not to step on the ground of this country anymore, didn’t he?” said the guards. “Sure he did” answered Abu Nawas calmly. “But look at me! Do I step on the ground of this country? No, I do not step on the ground. I am swimming on the water” continued Abu Nawas.

The guards were not able to argue with Abu Nawas so they left Abu Nawas’ house and went back to the palace. The guards reported what they had seen to the king. The king was curious on Abu Nawas’ excuse not to leave the country. Therefore the king ordered his guard to call Abu Nawas to come to the palace.
Abu Nawas came to the palace on stilts. The king wondered and said “Abu, I will surely punish you because you haven’t done what I have said. You have not left this country”. The King continued “And now, look at you. You walk on stilts like a child. Are you crazy? The king pretended to be furious.

“I remember exactly what you said, Your Majesty” Abu Nawas answered calmly. “This morning I took a bath in the small pool in my house so that I had not to step on the ground. And since yesterday, I have been walking on this stilts. So you see, Your Majesty, I do not step on the ground of this country”. The king was not able to say anything.

Diselamatkan oleh panggung

Raja ingin menguji kecerdasan Abu Nawas. Jadi dia mengundang Abu Nawas ke istana. "Kau ingin aku, Yang Mulia?" Disambut Abu Nawas.
